Willow King

Making Local Food Work; Local Food Shift
Willow King is CEO of Ozuké—short for zukemono, the Japanese word for pickled things—a fermented foods company co-founded with Mara King in 2011. A Boulder native, Willow has spent many years circling the globe gathering stories, recipes, and folk wisdom. She has worn many hats over the years: marketing, editorial work, corporate fundraising, NGO work in microfinance, and teaching. Now she spends most days at the Ozuké factory out in Lafayette, CO, but still finds time to mess around in the kitchen and make good things to eat. Ozuké, www.ozuke.com, is a manifestation of entrepreneurial inspiration and of community engagement for "making local food work".
