Sue Prant

Community Cycles
Executive Director
Sue Prant has been involved in bicycling and nonprofit management for over 20 years. In the early nineties she became the first Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Bicycle Coalition and grew the organization from a handful of committed folks to over 1,500 members. As director, she lobbied for over 40 million dollars of federal funds for bike projects in the region, including the Philadelphia Bicycle Network - one of the largest in the country and the first large scale US city bike network of its kind.
In 2006, Sue moved to Boulder Colorado, where she re-vamped Bike to Work Day and Walk & Bike Month, dramatically increasing participation and local sponsorship. In 2008, Sue joined Community Cycles as Advocacy & Development Director. In 2014, Sue was named Executive Director. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to over 2000 members and 15 staff people serving thousands offering workshops, affordable recycled bikes, community outreach, events, and advocating on behalf of walking and biking.
Sue has also worked as a bicycle planner for engineering firms in Philadelphia and Denver, and is a strong, dedicated advocate of urban bicycle commuting and sound land use. Sue lives in Boulder with her husband, Glenn.
